HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR LEATHER BAG
Each Valentino Orlandi bag is sold with a branded bag made of natural fabric that allows the skin to breathe. It is advisable to always continue to place the bag inside the same bag (and never in a plastic one) and to fill it with tissue paper to maintain its shape and absorb moisture.
Valentino Orlandi products are made of top quality genuine leather; To keep it in optimal conditions for as long as possible, the skin needs to breathe. Whenever it is not used, for correct maintenance after being placed inside the bag, it should be placed in an environment away from heat sources and direct sunlight, and in a dry place.
The number 1 enemy of leather is water (or even other liquid compositions that can stain the bag irrecoverably). It's a good idea to always keep your bag away from the rain; if it gets wet, dry immediately with a soft cloth.
If the bag is made of patent leather (or with patent leather details), never place the product next to another bag. Paint is a very resistant material but with a surface worked with products suitable to make it shiny which could react if placed in contact with other skin.
It may happen that you make a scratch on the leather of the bag: if the scratch is not very deep you can try to restore it using a neutral cream (even one for the face or a cleansing milk) by placing a small amount on a woolen cloth and rubbing with gentle movements. Circulate vigorously (not excessively so as to take away the color). After this step it is useful to use a hairdryer with hot air which relaxes and shines the skin. The hairdryer should be used at a distance of no less than 20 cm.
To redefine the color of a Valentino Orlandi bag, there are colored creams specifically for leather on the market. They can always be applied with the care of using a woolen cloth and drying the product with the hot air of the hairdryer.
Suede needs extra attention: to clean chamois there are sprays that reinvigorate the fur but in this case the bag must be left to air dry before use, so as to avoid leaving residues on clothing. Suedes can also be cleaned using special brushes which do not ruin the velvet effect and on the contrary rekindle its fervor. In the absence of a brush, women's nylon tights can be used.
It is best to avoid carrying heavy objects in your bag as they could change its shape.
